Nothing rests. Everything moves, Everything vibrates. (The Hermetic Principal of Vibration).
This Principal of Vibration is at the heart of Mental Alchemy. Our thoughts are vibrations. And, another Principle states “Like attracts like.” Negative thoughts have heavy, dark vibrations. Dwelling in negative vibes is magnetic. They attract more negative/dark thoughts in your life. And these thoughts attract negative consequences in our lives.
Example: We had ANOTHER mass shooting, this one in Boulder, CO. It resulted in 10 deaths at a grocery store. Dark thoughts can become so demanding that the person feels compelled to act out. He also happened to have an assault weapon. His defense will likely hinge on an “insanity” plea.
Insanity. n. mental illness of such a severe nature that a person cannot distinguish fantasy from reality, cannot conduct her/his affairs due to psychosis, or is subject to uncontrollable impulsive behavior. It seems there are 2 issues: State of Mind and accessibility to guns, assault weapons. We have witnessed so many mass shootings in our country. And yet we resist even the most flimsy gun controls like thorough background checks, repeatedly and repeatedly.
So, the question arises: Is this thinking in agreement with reality? Is our culture insane? As a culture, we create and repeat violence. And, as we’ve seen…Like attracts like. There is no way around our responsibility for sowing the seeds of violence.
Time to grow up, America! We can sow seeds of sanity and peace. That is what a mature society would do.
